WASHOE COUNTY, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) –Plans to build a medical marijuana dispensary off the Mount Rose Highway is raising opposition.

Now, one of the owners and investors of the proposed dispensary is speaking out.

Hugh Hempel says he plans to attend a meeting set from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 10 at Galena High School to answer questions and address concerns.

Washoe County Commissioner Bob Lucey said his phone has been ringing off the hook.
