Grow for Vets adopts new name and expanded mission

As of January 1 Grow for Vets U.S.A. continued its evolution by changing its name to HeroGrown. “With our new brand comes a new, broader mission and a rededication to helping more American heroes gain access to cannabis, including veterans, first responders, and their families,” explained Roger B. Martin, founder. “Over the past four years, I have been contacted by hundreds of first responders asking for help. As both a veteran and former law enforcement officer, I feel that this is the right time to answer their calls. First responders are plagued by job-related physical and emotional trauma, often leading to depression, addiction to deadly prescription drugs and alcohol, and suicide. We will be announcing several new, first-of-their-kind programs in the coming weeks.”

Buy Legal Meds (BLM) will be the first CBD hemp oil and smoothie store in the world, according to owner Joe Vargas. Vargas plans to open the store on January 31 at 4985 W. Tropicana, #103, on the corner of Tropicana and Decatur. Vargas owns the website which he started in 2015 to sell CBD products online including Cloud N9ne Hemp Syrup, a 60-milligram CBD and herbal concoction Vargas developed as an alternative to the deadly codeine-based “lean” cocktails made popular by the Hip Hop community and abused by the Millennial set. Vargas says BLM’s retail store is the first of a planned chain around the Las Vegas Valley.
